Privacy policy

Last updated:

This policy describes the data processed by Interval, an iOS timelapse and hyperlapse app. It fits in one sentence: Interval collects no data. The rest of this page explains why that is true.

Data controller: Camera Duel, the trade name of Teddy Verneuil, sole proprietor (EI), Rue Magellan, 56860 Séné, France, SIRET 792 687 576 00043. Contact: contact@lezbroz.com.

The principle, in one sentence

Interval runs entirely on your iPhone: no account, no server, no tracker, no analytics tool. This is not a marketing commitment, it is a technical property: the app has nowhere to send anything.

Your photos and videos

Captured photos and assembled videos are saved in the app’s private storage, on your device. If you allow it, exported videos are added to your photo library; they are then under your control, like any other video in your camera roll. Deleting a project in the app, or uninstalling the app, permanently erases the corresponding content from its storage.

Permissions requested

Camera: to capture your timelapses and hyperlapses, which is the reason the app exists. Photos, add only: to save your finished videos to your photo library; the app cannot read your camera roll. Motion: to display the level (horizon line); sensor data is processed live and never stored.

The Interval Pro purchase

Unlocking Interval Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Payment, billing and any refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. Interval only receives an anonymous transaction confirmation, verified on the device, to unlock the features. The counter of exports offered is stored locally, in the iPhone’s secure keychain.

Your rights

The GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability over your personal data. Since Interval holds no data about you, there is nothing to consult or erase on our side: everything is already with you, on your device. For any question, write to contact@lezbroz.com or contact the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

Children

Since Interval collects no data, it poses no particular risk to minors. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.

Changes

If this policy changes, for example if a future feature required an online service, this page will be updated and the date at the top changed. The version published here prevails.
